Quick Raleigh Retail Update: Abbeygail's Closet

Abbeygail's Closet is a Raleigh consignment shop

"owned and operated by the Women's Center of Wake County, Inc., a nonprofit agency dedicated to assisting low-income and homeless children and their moms. Net proceeds from sales go directly to support the programs and services of the Women's Center.
"
Back to the update - apparently they've just renovated and are now focusing on high-end and high-quality consignment only. I'm sure there are some good deals to be had on some fab finds... for a good cause.

I just received a quick email blast today that advertises:"Today and Tomorrow Only!
From 3pm-6pm today and from 10am-4pm tomorrow
buy any item of clothing and get a second item of clothing
(equal or lesser value) for half price!"
It's crappy and rainy outside, but a good consignment find is worth the adventure out!

Love Her Look: Julianne Hough

I love Julianne... and LOVE the wardrobe in her new video:Snag this look -- under budget, too!
Vintage Gold Necklace - Etsy.com - $16.00

Charlotte Russe - Pocket Vest - $14.99

Mossimo® Black: Micro Rib Racer Back - True White - $8.99
(I personally love the long layering tanks from Old Navy, but there are none in white on the website! Yikes!)

Mossimo® Black: Skinny Denim Jean - Eric Dark Wash - $29.99

Piperlime - Bandolino "Edwina" - $69.97
(There is also an even cheaper alternative for $39.97!)
Love it or hate it? I'd rock it.

Actually, I do rock it.

I wore something similar to the Whitney Duncan concert we had here in Raleigh this past November with a black vest and black boots. You have to forgive her drummer, Peter, in the background for that picture. They are a fun bunch!

Found Your Solemate, Yet?

My dear friend (and Pi Phi love) Ashton sent me a link to this via twitter and I want to know - has anyone heard of these (I hope I'm not the only one who's missed the boat) and even better... has anyone tried them?

I want to know if they're as effective as they're made out to be!
They're called Solemates and my dad picks on me for aerating the lawn all the time, so they seem like a little bit of genius to me!

{Double Post} Tervis Giveaway on Swagger's Facebook "Public Profile"

Swagger Gifts is giving away one of the most coveted accessories in blogland... and no, it has nothing to do with Lilly Pulitzer. It's the Big-T (24 oz.) Tervis Tumbler (MadMariner.com calls them "Terrific")!!!

These bad boys keep your cold drinks cold, hot drinks hot, don't sweat, you can't break 'em, AND they are dishwasher safe. I'm drinking lemonade out of my "Pi Beta Phi" Big-T as I write this... and getting pumped about investing a whole set of these for the days on the beach, lake, tailgates, and boooooat.

Click on the picture above and go directly to Swagger's post on facebook to comment to win - it ends this Friday (so do it by Thursday night, just to be safe).

When you "Become a Fan" of Swagger on facebook, you'll receive weekly updates on each new giveaway. You should also subscribe to the blog, too - that's where the winner is announced!

The Best Posts from Today's Google Reader Check...

Barefoot in the Park's hilarious (and slightly tragic) recount of her experience with huaraches... which are trying to make their way back into the shoe scene.
A Southern Accent's cool use of apothecary jars!
Check out both and be sure to subscribe, too. You'll <3 both bloggers.

Ok, Maybe it's a Little Rednecky

Rednecky or not, I've always deep-down loved the summer look of destroyed denim against a nice tan. Although, I usually prefer it with flip flops or boots and a cute tank top, because it'd be really easy to go overboard wit this look. If your jeans are "destroyed", then the rest of your look shouldn't be.

Cora Boutique's blog post today is making me hate this cold rain we're getting drenched with here in NC even more so than normal...Current Inspiration: Destroyed Denim

Click through and check out the super cute white short shorts and more.

Go Green, Get Stuff

This isn't something that particularly applies to anything in my closet (that I can think of right off hand), but there is still plenty of drool-worthy home products, DVDs, CDs/iPods, etc. to be had a Best Buy. I received the following tidbit in their eNewsletter today for Reward Zone members.

Recycle Your Old Electronics

Did you know you can recycle electronics at your local Best Buy® store? Bring in your old TVs, computers, DVD players and more and we’ll recycle them for you. There is a $10 recycling fee for each TV, CRT, monitor or laptop you bring in, but we’ll give you a $10 Best Buy Gift Card to offset the cost.

It's actually pretty good to know info, because most recycling events I've seen have a charge for screens/monitors/etc., at least this way Best Buy is easing the cost a little bit by basically buying you a DVD or CD as a result.
