Go Banana!
Well done, Banana Republic! My little green heart thanks you!
"Greener. One Step At A Time.
We changed our bag to eliminate 500,000 pounds of plastic each year.
You too can help by reusing or recycling this bag."
My sister was outlet shopping last week and picked me up a great pair of linen-style black pants (trouser-style fit, draw-string but fitted waist) that look great with patent black heels that I wore today, but of course I can't find any pictures of outlet products on their site. I'll take an outfit picture next time I wear them for a follow up post :-)

Red!
(Sidebar: My post from last night was fabulous number 300 - have you been around since post #1... way back in May, 2007?)
I was reading over this week's fashion columns in the Lifestyle section of the N&O and was delighted to find an entire feature dedicated to RED! As all Wolfpack girls know, red is a statement color with free reign to wear at any time. This popular fall trend color happens to extend that privilege to everyone... regardless of their love for NCSU! ;-)
This feature was an affiliate piece from the Charlotte Observer (a sister publication of the N&O), so unfortunately it only included looks from national chain retailers... but I did find a few things to love!

These earrings from Target ($29.99) are appropriately titled "Pomegranate Drop Earrings"... they look just like the inside of poms! (by Temple St. Clair for Target)

Love this belt from the September/October H&M collection! No price given, didn't see it on their website. (Random note: You can only shop online with H&M if you're OUTSIDE of the US? How often do you see that?)

Worthington Black Houndstooth Dress - $49.99, August Worthington Double Breasted Coat (buy online) - $149.9... both from JCPenney. (But I really love the scarf the most - this is as close as I could find on the site, but I'm not 100% sure it's the same scarf.)

A Kourtney Kardashian Outfit that I'd SO Wear...
Love those boots with that tunic!
I have to admit, I love watching to crazy Kardashian girls on E!. They're such hot messes, but some of their crazy antics remind me of my girlfriends and even my the ridiculous that my sister and I may or may not have caused on occasion. We hardworkin' ladies deserve a little mindless TV every once in a while, no? See http://officialkourtneyk.celebuzz.com/2010/10/kourtney-kardashian-mason-airport-nyc/ for brands that Kourtney and kiddo Mason are rockin'.

Holy Shizzle!
Or should I say, ShoeDazzle?
Anyways, it's sort of like Netflix for shoes. Except that they're not used and you get to keep them. Ok, so they're actually more like an assumed grocery delivery service/CSA program. Essentially, every month they send you personalized picks based on your style profile and then you pick a pair you actually want to own and it's shipped to you for $39.95 -- with free shipping. (And what they call "easy exchanges", but I can't speak for that... yet.)
The only catch is that you have to "skip" if you don't want the recurring charge (so from a revenue perspective they're probably banking on you just forgetting to do so within the 1st and 5th of the month), but for shoes... I feel like I could make this a regular thing. Or end up with a pair of shoes. Win-win? Yes, yes!
Today's recommendations based on my style quiz results (first below) that I would so say "yes" to:
The only thing that doesn't work on me is buying 12 new pairs of shoes in a year, potentially. As much as I love shoes, I actually don't buy THAT many a year. Again, I could make this work and not end up with 12 pairs of shoes... or maybe some great gifts for my fellow Size 8 ladies? (Actually, I think you can select which size you want for each order. So the gift idea would certainly work!)
So, what do you readers think? Sold? If I take the plunge and commit to the first pair, you can bet I'll be following up this post with a few pictures of the newly arrived shoe goodness and a review of the quality and ShoeDazzle experience!
If you want to give it a try, I would certainly love for you to use my referral link (http://www.shoedazzle.com/invite/3kczidfyp) because naturally, referrals rock.
