Not Uh!

I was a textiles major in college and as I've said before, Cotton's world HQ is here in my own backyard. The following video though, was still news to me.

Alright, looks as if I'll be looking for organic cotton choices now! Thanks Rachel at EcoStiletto for the tip!

If You're Near Wilson, NC...

...check out the new additions at Belle & Co!

Gypsy Wrap Skirt
available in nectarine (yummy!) and island (aqua)

Krisa Linen Wide-Leg Pants
available in black and white

They are a little pricey at $196 and $99 (respectively), but that skirt... totally worth it. Just imagine how cute it would look at summer parties, weddings, reunions, etc.! The colors are totally amazing, too.

A Really Good Deal for Summer Skin

Lisa S. and I have both tried and loved mark's For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 as a daily moisturizer (and it's only $15.00 for the full-size supply of it), but this is also a great deal from Sephora on a kit of small sizes of sun essentials... which you can also get 8% back on when shopping through!

Oh yeah, so back to the really good deal for summer skin. This came to email inbox this morning courtesy of my weekly eBates email... I may juat have to try it out:Sun Safety Kit
From Sephora
eBates Savings: was 4% - now 8%

Coupon: New Summer Must-Have!
Sephora Sun Safety Kit ($110 value) for $22.50.
Kit includes 13 SPF minis and 100% net profits go to The Skin Cancer Foundation.
Good stuff, great price, FABULOUS cause (and a very generous donation of the entire net profits by Sephora, too).

There's more exciting news about this kit if you read the full description from the links above: the "all-in-one summertime companion comes packaged in an expandable, brightly colored beach bag made from recycled plastic". Yay!

Raleigh Jeans

While I was browsing the same website that I found my recent boot addiction on I also happened to stumble upon these sweet jeans. The fleur de lis is one of my favorite embellishments/designs/patterns... and on jeans! (Although, sadly - I'm a little girl and those jeans looks like a pretty relaxed fit... so they're most likely a no go for me. I'm very particular about the fit of my jeans.)

Speaking of denim, this is a really cool feature from on a local denim company! I really need to check their stuff out soon. How cool would that be to a have my "go to jeans" come from right in my own back yard?

UNDRESSED: Raleigh Denim"One thing led to another, and Verses Jeans was born. (The name changed to Raleigh Denim last summer). The two married in October 2008, and today they’re making jeans—and history—full-time in a studio on Bloodworth Street.

New Raleigh met them there Friday evening before they headed out to the Rosebuds show. Sarah was wearing boots over Raleigh Denim jeans and an old black L.A. Raiders t-shirt, with her hair down long and straight. Victor, wearing cuffed Raleigh Denim jeans with an old White Horse Tavern t-shirt, remarked that he was missing his usual hat since he’d showered that morning."
Check out the full story and let me know if you have any Raleigh Denim of your own!
